A major focus of the Americana Corvette Club is our charitable work. We have supported the Esplanade House and the Jesus Center for many years. The selection of these two organizations was based on locality, need, and their evident commitment to helping some of the most distressed and needful members of society. In addition to an annual cash contribution to the Esplanade House, we are one of only two groups who also buy presents for the children at Christmas; this is done by our members individually. Since the advent of the Chico Run for Food, we donate directly to this Jesus Center fundraiser every year around Thanksgiving, and encourage club members to participate in this event. The club visits both our charities every December.
